Changes to CSCS Green Card (Labourer Card)

The Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) is making changes for obtaining a Green Card (Labourer Card). These new requirements being introduced from July 2014 state that along with the CITB Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) Test, a qualification (or alternative) must be achieved in order to apply for the Green Card.


This qualification can be the CITB CSkills Site Safety Plus 1 Day Health and Safety Awareness Course.

Allset Safety Training now deliver interactive safety training!!

We are pleased to be working with Videotile Ltd to be able to deliver a range of safety training courses.  These courses have been proffessionally made, easy to use and allow you or your employees the benefit of being able to complete their training in a more flexible manner. You can even print out your certificate immediately on completion of the course.


The range of courses we offer are detailed below however we intend to be rolling out other subjects such as manual handling in the near future.

The advantage of purchasing the training though us is that you can buy either one licence, or as many licences as you require in order to ensure all of your employees recieve the necessary training.  They can then complete the training at their own speed and time allowing them to stay flexible.

Asbestos Awareness Interactive Course - £35.00 per candidate

If you work in a building that was constructed before the year 2000, there is a risk that it contains asbestos. Employers have a duty to ensure that all employees have sufficient training to make them aware of the risks.

Whether you work in construction, building & property maintenance or facilities managemnt there is a high risk that you may encounter asbestos containing materials. This course is designed to let you know the risks, the health effects of asbestos, likely places you may encounter asbestos and what to do should you encounter asbestos or suspect asbestos containing materials are present.

Legionella Awareness Interactive Course - £65.00 per candidate

The Health Legionella and Water Safety e-learning course welcomes the learner and describes the objectives of the module.  It describes where Legionella can be found, how it was discovered and how it can be contracted.


Regulations and Responsibilities: This Legionella and Water Safety e-learning course looks at the duties and requirements for employers surrounding Legionella. It also states the main legislation regarding the control of Legionella bacterium.


Managing the risk: This Legionella and Water Safety e-learning course outlines how to manage the risks present. It covers what type of equipment can present a risk and how to control those risks.


Other aspects of water safety in premises: The course describes the other three aspects of water safety, what they are and how they can be controlled and includes a short multiple choice quiz at the end to confirm understanding of all modules covered.



Fire Marshal Interactive Course - £35.00 per candidate

This interactive course is designed to teach delegates the role of the designated fire marshal. It also gives them the opportunity to learn about the different types of fire extinguisher and how to use them correctly.

This course is suitable for those who are responsible for overseeing fire safety, designated fire marshals and anyone who needs to know how to use a fire extinguisher.

Basic Fire Awareness, Fire Extinguisher and Care Home Courses - From £7.95 to £25.00 per candidate (dependent on the number of licences purchased)

This Fire Safety Training Course is designed to provide employers and employees with adequate knowledge of the risks associated with workplace fires, going into detail about the causes of fire, undertaking a risk assessment and how you can ensure that appropriate fire safety precautions are in place.

Fire safety is incredibly important and failure to comply with government fire safety regulations could potentially lead to prosecution, fines or legal claims. Training in fire safety is therefore compulsory for all organisations.


There is an additional module specific to care homes which allows all carers and care home workers to receive the necessary training specific to their environment and role.
